Real skills. Real work. Real change — for young people in Manchester.

We don't fix young people. We fix the system that was failing them.

Threads for Change is a Manchester-based social enterprise and non-profit. We work with young people aged 16–24 who are not in education, employment, or training — connecting them to real careers through vintage fashion, sustainability, and apprenticeships.

About us
Direct to Consumer

We sell direct. Online. To the world.

Threads for Change isn't just training — we run a live online shop selling vintage and streetwear direct to customers. Our apprentices and workshop participants learn by doing it for real: shooting product photos, writing listings, packing orders, and building an audience on Depop, Vinted, and Instagram.

Threads for Change is being built to help young people who are struggling in an education setting to get more hands-on experience. Our aim is to reduce unemployment in Manchester by providing accessible, hands-on training and retail experience in the sustainable fashion industry.
